Denmark has confirmed its participation in the Eurovision Song Contest 2027, set to take place in Bulgaria.
The confirmation came from broadcaster DR in mid-May 2026, announcing that Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2027 will be held in Kolding on 13 February.
The record
Denmark last competed in 2026, when Søren Torpegaard Lund performed "Før vi går hjem" and finished 7th in the final with 243 points.
In total, Denmark has participated 54 times since its debut in 1957, with three wins. The 7th place in Vienna was Denmark's best result since its last victory, "Only Teardrops" in 2013.
The road to Bulgaria
Denmark's entry for Bulgaria will be selected through Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2027 in Kolding on 13 February 2027.
Denmark joins Bulgaria, Germany, Finland, San Marino and Floptropica among the nations already committed to Eurovision 2027. Broadcasters have until mid-October 2026 to formally submit their applications to the EBU.
