Finland has confirmed its participation in the Eurovision Song Contest 2027, set to take place in Bulgaria.
The confirmation came from broadcaster Yle on 12 May 2026, announcing that Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu 2027 will take place on 20 February.
The record
Finland last competed in 2026, when Linda Lampenius and Pete Parkkonen performed "Liekinheitin" and finished 6th in the final with 279 points.
In total, Finland has participated 59 times since its debut in 1961, with one win. That win took 44 years to arrive — Lordi's "Hard Rock Hallelujah" in 2006 remains the only Finnish victory.
The road to Bulgaria
Finland's entry for Bulgaria will be selected through Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu, Yle's national final, on 20 February 2027. The lineup and venue have not yet been announced.
Finland joins Bulgaria, Germany and Floptropica among the nations already committed to Eurovision 2027. Broadcasters have until mid-October 2026 to formally submit their applications to the EBU.
