Greece is coming to Bulgaria. ERT, the Greek national broadcaster, has officially confirmed that Greece will participate in the Eurovision Song Contest 2027, hosted in Bulgaria following DARA's win in 2026 with "Bangaranga."
The confirmation came from ERT Corporate Communications Director Konstantinos Tsolakis in an interview with Polish outlet escspot.pl, who stated plainly: of course Greece will take part.
Sing for Greece returns for a third year
Greece will once again select its entry through Sing for Greece, the national final format that has quietly become one of the most effective selection shows in the contest.
The numbers back it up:
Two years of Sing for Greece. Two top 10 finishes. ERT is not changing a winning formula, and honestly, why would they.
Further details about the 2027 selection — submission windows, dates, format changes — will be announced by ERT later this year. We will cover all of it here.
Where Greece stands in the Eurovision 2027 lineup
Greece becomes the fifth country confirmed for Eurovision Bulgaria 2027, joining:
Eurovision 2027 will be Greece's 47th participation. The country debuted in 1974 and has won once — Helena Paparizou's "My Number One" in 2005, a song that still clears most national final winners two decades later.
What this means for Bulgaria 2027
Greece confirming early is not a surprise, but it matters. Greece is a neighbor, a short flight (or a long drive) from any likely Bulgarian host city, and Greek fans travel. Expect a heavy Greek presence in the arena next May.
Host city, venue, and exact competition dates for Eurovision 2027 have not yet been announced by BNT and the EBU. The slogan remains "United by Music." We are tracking every confirmation, every rumor, and every TBA on our undefined.
Floptropica's confirmation status remains unchanged: confirmed since day one.
