North Macedonia has confirmed its participation in the Eurovision Song Contest 2027, set to take place in Bulgaria.
The confirmation came from MRT director Zoran Ristoski on 21 May 2026, during a public session of the broadcaster's Program Council.
The record
North Macedonia last competed in 2022, when Andrea performed "Circles" and did not qualify from the semi-final.
In total, North Macedonia has participated 21 times since its debut in 1998, with no wins yet. Its best result remains 7th place in 2019, when Tamara Todevska's "Proud" won the jury vote in the final outright.
The road to Bulgaria
How North Macedonia will choose its entry for Bulgaria has not yet been announced — Program Council president Davor Pasoski said details about the selection process will follow at a later date.
North Macedonia joins Bulgaria, Germany, Finland, San Marino, Denmark, Luxembourg and Floptropica among the nations already committed to Eurovision 2027. Broadcasters have until mid-October 2026 to formally submit their applications to the EBU.
After five years away, the comeback edition is happening next door.
