What it is

One question, answered continuously: who is in Eurovision 2027? The tracker lists every eligible country with its current status and the sources behind it; the news river carries verified confirmations, the desk's own posts and a labelled wire of what the fan press is reporting. Around that sit the archive of every contest since 1956, a visitor's guide to Bulgaria, fan polls, games — and Floptropica, which is satire about a country that does not exist and says so on every page.

Everything is free to read and free to cite with attribution. There are no accounts and no paywall.

Who runs it

Bulgariavision is published by a small editorial desk — the Bulgariavision desk — operated by a company, not by a named individual. The desk is the byline on every article because it is the honest one: some articles are assembled by the tracker the moment a confirmation clears our bar, and the rest are written by whoever is on the desk that week. A person's name on a templated confirmation would claim a human wrote what the tracker assembled.

Independence

This site is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the European Broadcasting Union, Bulgarian National Television (BNT), the host city, or the Eurovision Song Contest. “Eurovision Song Contest” is a trademark of the EBU. We hold no accreditation and receive no information from any of them that is not public. Everything here comes from published sources, each one named.

The site is funded by its operator. Advertising slots exist in the templates and are switched off by default; when they are on, the ads are served by Google and labelled as advertising. No sponsor, broadcaster or delegation has any say over what is published.

How a confirmation gets in

The tracker updates itself, every two minutes, with no person in the loop — which only works if the rules for publishing are strict, public and boring. Sources are tiered: an official body (the EBU, BNT) publishes on its own; established Eurovision press needs two independent outlets, and outlets that republish each other count once; Wikipedia and the like can corroborate and can never publish alone. Anything hedged — “reportedly”, “in talks”, a bid, a shortlist — is recorded as a rumour, labelled as one on the wire, and can never change a country's status.

Where a fact is unknown — the venue, the dates, the running order — the site says “to be announced” rather than showing a confident-looking guess. The full rules are on the methodology page.

How this site is made

With a lot of automation, by design. The tracker reads its sources every two minutes and writes the confirmation itself; the desk writes everything else. Every article says which in its byline, with one of two labels:

“Written and checked by the Bulgariavision desk”

The desk wrote it, checked it and published it. Explainers, guides, the archive pieces and everything in the season calendar.

“Assembled from verified source data, not written by hand”

The tracker assembled it from database fields the moment a confirmation cleared the bar. The words are a template and the facts are the sources listed at the foot of the article.

One line is never crossed: every status, date, name and number on this site comes from a named published source or from our own database of the contest's record. Nothing decides what is true except the sources and the rules on the methodology page, and the desk answers for all of it — the terms say so in one sentence.

The cover art on articles is generated from the article's own address, not photographed or fetched: Eurovision imagery is rights-reserved and we do not use pictures we do not have a licence for. When we get something wrong, it goes on the corrections page and stays there.
