The 2006 Eurovision Song Contest, the 51st edition, was held in Athens, Greece at Olympic Indoor Hall and was won by Finland — Lordi with “Hard Rock Hallelujah”.

Finland's first win, at the 45th time of asking, by a hard rock band in latex monster masks.
